All multinationals feel it's better to stick to the old concept of having an in house data center to maintain their information. Talking about the technical aspects of web hosting, since all the information is present on the servers, if the hosting company encounters a network failure or is made to shut down due to some legal issues, the client company would not be able to access their websites and would be brought to a complete standstill.
